Lunden Souza:Yeah, same. Yeah, for those of you listening, Veronica's been on the podcast twice. We're back talking about EFT emotional freedom technique and how to reduce stress utilizing this really powerful tool. I was sharing with Veronica before I pressed record. I was like, I feel like this morning has been all the things. And I think those listening can totally relate. Like I woke up, I got in my meditation, my workout, then I had to go pick up a rental car because my car got rear-ended and it's in the shop. And yeah, it wasn't my fault. I wasn't in the car. Everybody's safe. It's all good. And I sometimes think like all the things, and I'm also London party of one, and I don't have kids and all the stuff. So I just know people listening can resonate with that where you just like want to do the things, you want to do your meditations, your workouts, you know, line it up, knock it down. And I was so grateful when I got to open up this video screen and land with you. And I just was like, oh, this is what I'm excited about. So um, yeah, I mean, let's just dive right in. Let's talk about what EFT is, tapping emotional freedom technique. Let's give the 411 for those listening on what this is and how you got into it.
Veronica Kelly:Um, so happy that you're okay and that you weren't in the car and that is the car.
Lunden Souza:So yeah, same. And the woman, I wasn't in the car and she left me a note on the car just saying, you know, she could have hit and run, and I would probably never noticed because it's kind of a small thing, but it's not a small thing in reality, right? Like where she hit me, there's like behind the scenes damage, if you will, that I would have never noticed if I didn't see her notes. So I'm grateful I'm safe and I'm grateful for honest people, that's for sure.
Veronica Kelly:Oh, I know that's right, girl. Well, good. I'm very happy to hear that. And again, thanks for having me. Hello, listeners. I am just so thrilled to share EFT. It is such a dynamic tool that quite literally, as I've been a practitioner for about 12, 13 years now, it is so dynamic in that it can help you to achieve just about anything that you want. So I've used EFT and guided people to use EFT to move through wounds, to heal old programs in their mind's eye, to just apply it when you're having a bad day or you just feel like crap, or if you have some shame, or if you made a mistake or whatnot, it just helps you to come back to the loving and accepting yourself right the way that you are. But it also helps to create change in your life. So if there's a goal that you have, such as, you know, certain amount of money or a partner or whatever that is, EFT gets in, gets you out of fight or flight, and allows you to choose what you want to program into your body and into your life. And it does that just with real time, easy tapping on the different meridian points of our body and loving and accepting ourselves right where we are. That is the fundamentals of just being with yourself, whether you're stressed, whether you're having a great day or a bad day or whatever the case may be, creating just that, hey, all is well and I got this. And once we come back to that space of all is well and I've got this, we can make infinite choices as to what we want to bring into our space.
Lunden Souza:Yeah. Yeah. And I think of moments where I've felt stress because things are hard or devastating, or there's been um tragedy or loss or something, I guess, negative, let's call it. And then also that I experience sometimes the stress that comes along with excitement. Like I'm just so excited about something and I'm ready to go. And I'm like trying to, you know, think my way into figuring it out, right? When we get all up in our heads of like, how am I gonna have enough time to do this? And I want to do this, and this sounds good, and let's bring all this together. And I go back to the tapping videos that we've done for the podcast, that we've done for my Instagram lives. Instagram lives, yeah. And I go back and do those really often because of, like you said, no matter what's happening, it's all good. We can figure it out, we'll find a way. We just have to come back into our bodies and not be, you know, so scattered and all over the place. And so not only are you my friend and somebody that I know in real life and have had the you know honor and privilege of being around, but I love the work that you do and I love your voice when we do the tapping, and I love the way that you um yeah, channel or call in a lot of what you say and the affirmations. And I just kind of get lost in it with you, which is so beautiful. So thank you, babe. I get to be your friend, but also I'm doing things on the sidelines too, which make me so grateful. Thank you for that.
Veronica Kelly:Yeah, it's so it's really beautiful that, you know, I'm a self-love and freedom coach. That is what I do. My whole life is dedicated to getting these tools into people's hands so that we can know that no matter what we're faced with, we have tools and resources that we can move through it. And oftentimes I find with my clients, whether it's my teaching when I'm because I teach EFT twice a week and leave people in person here in Austin, or whether it's my clients online, or whether it's the recorded videos, I notice that most people, um part of the reason why they don't lean into healing something or being with something is they're afraid it's gonna overtake them. And, you know, pain is real. And oftentimes, if you don't have the skills and the tools and have the confidence to say, I can be with this no matter what, it's not gonna kill me, I can move through it. And just having that availability to sit with whatever it is that you desire to change, that moment of just like, I can do this, I can be with this, and it's not gonna take me over, that right there frees you up so much time and stress and worry. And as you said, like all the thoughts in your head about making it worst case scenario. And EFT, when you just sit with it and you just allow yourself to honor this is hard, but I can do hard things, then just that right there is the biggest freedom gift so that when life throws anything at you, you have this tool. And that's one of the reasons why I'm so passionate about getting these tools out to people, is because it doesn't even matter what you're up against. EFT will help you, which is pretty good.
Lunden Souza:Yeah, or where you are, or well, yeah. I I've done the Instagram live videos in my car at home. You can do them anywhere, anytime. It's so easily accessible and it's so research-backed, right? Which I I love. I think this is such a great time to be alive because there's so much, um, for lack of better words, where the woo-woo meets the science, where it's like actually, this is not just like some, you know, hippie dippy woo-woo stuff that we're just pretending works or just saying that it works.
Veronica Kelly:Like this is something that's has so much research behind it and is such an effective technique, like you said, no matter what, no matter if you're I love that you just name that because when I first found EFT in 2013, you couldn't even really get certified in it. It wasn't even an accredited um form of therapy yet. It was still very woo-woo and it was very suspect. And I learned through apprenticing somebody else who had been a practitioner, but I saw such massive change, like massive healing change in just a short few months of adopting a daily practice that that's when I was like, oh my gosh, I need to keep, I need to keep doing this and I need to keep getting these tools. And then now there's so much science. And like a couple of things that I really appreciate is that number one, as you say about the the woo-meat science, that's definitely what EFT is. Um, but number one, we can think all day long about how I want to have this or I want to do this, or I want to change my opinion about myself and feel worthy. But as long as we're in our head and not in our heart, we're not gonna see the total transformation. And I love that science is caught up because our bodies are electromagnetic fields and scientifically proven, the electromagnetic energy that's pulsed from your brain and the one that's pulsed from your heart is the heart is literally up to 99 times more strong, the energy that it's omitting than the energy that your brain is. And since we have an electromagnetic field around us scientifically proven, that is what literally draws people, places, and things to us is what we're how we're vibrating, what our frequency is, and what is a match to us. And so when we get out of our head and we get into our hearts, which is exactly what EFT does, then we actually see the change. And I'm so happy that science is cut up because I didn't have words for that before. But now, because of all these experiments and all the research, I it makes sense and it's provable. And also, one other thing I want to say about the science, which is crazy cool, is they actually so when you do EFT and you're tapping, you break the protein bond on whatever thought pattern it is that you want to disrupt. So whether that's as dramatic as PTSD or whether it's as soft as shaming yourself. And I say soft because shaming yourself is still really bad and traumatic and feels horrible. But anything across the across the way, if there is a thought pattern you want to disrupt, when you do EFT, it breaks the protein bond. And if you consistently do the EFT, scientifically proven, you can actually create new neurological pathways. And it's wild that they now have actual experiments where you can see the brain forming new neurological pathways through doing EFT.
Lunden Souza:And then it like, then you don't have to think your way into change. You can't really think your way into change, right? There's tools like EFT that can actually help you rewire the way that your brain is wired. So then you don't end up in these shame spirals of why can't I figure it out on my own in my thinking brain? And I do that too, even though I know that. And I love those moments when I'm like, wait, hold on, meditate, do at do EFT. Like your thinking brain is not gonna solve this right now. We need to go in and rewire things at a neurological level. And I love the first episode that we did, and I encourage listeners to go back to that because Veronica shares like a plethora of her story of neglect and all this stuff that she's gone through and the way that EFT has supported that. So I want you guys to go in and listen to that because I know that somebody listening has gone through that too and can find healing and strength through your story, Veronica. And what I want to go through next is all the different meridian points that we do when we're tapping. So as we prepare to do some tapping together today for those of you listening and watching, um, we're gonna do some tapping together. So can you just guide us through all the different points and what um, yeah, what's kind of associated with each of these points or why we're tapping those points?
Veronica Kelly:Yeah. So I like to akin it to a map. And this, the meridian lines are discovered and really um heralded in traditional Chinese medicine. And so the body has tons of lines of energy. So if you get uh acupuncture and you stick the needles, they're all over the place, right? So that map that they use is like a map with every city, with every road, with every alley, right? And so with EFT, we're just tapping on the main meridian lines of energy. So think of it if it's a map, it's the highways, if you will. And so there's lots of different points. There's it's depending on how much time you have and what it is you're looking to really rewire. But the basic spaces is like eyes where they meet, nose, outside heel, at the cheeks, nose between lip, at the chin, and then just right below the collarbone, and then you can take it down to the side of the ribs and then back up to the head. So that's the most basic, and it's the the core the traditional emotional freedom technique points, but there's so many other points. So sometimes I'll do the hands, which we can go on. This one's really special here on the bottom of your ring finger because this goes right into your heart center. So just spending some time on this space, if you're going through a heartbreak, or you're just like, I want to cry, but I can't quite figure out where the tears are coming or not coming. You can really just drop into this and just like one of my favorite things to do is just drop into the ring finger and just tell myself, I love you, heart. Your safe heart. I love you, heart. And just that right there, if you only do this one right here with that I love you heart, will bring you down into a space of ah from the the highball stress. Also, you can get the wrists, there's the karate chop, there's other spaces as well. But it just kind of depends on how much time you have and what your practitioner is guiding you through and what the intention is.

And before I react, I'm gonna do some tapping so then I can respond. Or if I'm feeling anxious or just uncomfortable in a certain situation, tap and go back and present your best self. So yeah, let's let's do some tapping. I'll let you guide us through uh maybe like five-ish minutes or so of tapping if that's cool. And for those listening, it's tap time. We're doing it.
Veronica Kelly:So um let's just do a nice little tap for just bringing safety, loving, and accepting into our bodies. I know there's so much stress in the world right now, and we're going into the holidays where it's uh it's a lot. So let's just take these next few rounds and create as much safety, self-love, and compassion for ourselves that we can. Sound good? Yes. Okay, great. So go ahead, y'all, and start to, if you're available, just maybe shut down your eyes. Maybe you might still want to look at me because I'll be tapping with you and you can see the points. But if it feels okay, start to take some breaths and just allow yourself to receive the medicine for the next few minutes. If you're driving, obviously don't close your eyes, but you can still tap along with us while you're driving. It's a very easy and gentle flow. So just starting to breathe. In and out. We're gonna take some box breath together. So let the air come out. Through the nose, inhale for four, three, two, hold it at the top for four, three, two, exhale, mouth, four, three, two, one, hold it empty, three, two, one, one more round. Inhale, nose, three, two, one, hold it at the top, three, two, one, exhale, mouth, two, one, suspend empty. Three. Beautiful. Go ahead and just let your breath come back to a slow cadence. And we're gonna start on the karate chat point. This kind of gets the the intention set. So just exactly as it sounds, outside of that hand as you're breathing, just repeat after me.
Lunden Souza:Even though sometimes I can find myself stressed out, even though I sometimes can find myself stressed out. That's okay. I love and accept myself right where I am. It's okay. I love and accept myself right where I am. Big breath in.
Veronica Kelly:Big breath out. Even though being a human comes with ups and downs and a lot of responsibilities, even though being a human comes with a lot of ups and downs and responsibilities.
Lunden Souza:I'm sure proud of how far I've come. I'm sure proud with how far I've come. Big breath in. And even though I desire to make some change, and even though I desire to make some change, I totally accept myself right where I am. I totally accept myself right where I am.
Veronica Kelly:Eyebrow points. All of these feelings in my body, all of these feelings in my body, and I want you guys at home and London as well, just tune in to a sensation right now. Just whatever presents itself. Even though I feel this way, even though I feel this way outside of the eyes, I deeply love and accept myself.
Lunden Souza:I deeply love and accept myself.
Veronica Kelly:And if you're at home and that's causing a trigger, you can add the word willing. I'm willing to love and accept myself. I am willing to love and accept myself under the eye.
Lunden Souza:And even though I may have some stress inside of my body, and even though I may have some stress inside of my body, I'm totally safe. I'm totally safe. The nose.
Veronica Kelly:My body knows exactly what to do to take care of myself.
Lunden Souza:My body knows exactly what to do to take care of myself, and I give myself permission to trust that. And I give myself permission to trust that. Big breath in.
Veronica Kelly:Big breath out. The chin. So in this moment, I'm allowing myself to just relax a little.
Lunden Souza:So in this moment, I'm allowing myself to relax just a little. I don't have to get this perfect. I don't have to get this perfect. There's nobody I need to impress. There's nobody I need to impress.
Veronica Kelly:And I am safe.
Lunden Souza:And I am safe.
Veronica Kelly:The chest. Big breath in. I fully forgive myself for any mistakes I've made along the way.
Lunden Souza:I fully forgive myself for any mistakes I've made along the way.
Veronica Kelly:I'm proud of myself.
Lunden Souza:I'm proud of myself.
Veronica Kelly:I'll do the side of the ribs. And in this moment, I give myself full permission.
Lunden Souza:And in this moment, I give myself full permission to let go of any shame, any guilt or regret. To let go of any shame, any guilt or regret. I'm doing the best I can and I am proud of myself. I'm doing the best I can and I am proud of myself.
Veronica Kelly:Top of the head. I invite ease and flow and grace into my nervous system.
Lunden Souza:I invite ease and flow and grace into my nervous system. Eyebrow points, big breath in. And even though I have this uncomfortable feeling in my body, I'm safe right where I am. I'm safe right where I am.
Veronica Kelly:And I love and accept myself.
Lunden Souza:And I love and accept myself.
Veronica Kelly:Staying on the outside of the eyes, take a big breath.
Lunden Souza:I can feel myself calming down. I can feel myself calming down under the eye.
Veronica Kelly:I can feel the wisdom of my body taking over.
Lunden Souza:I can feel the wisdom of my body taking over. I'm so safe. I'm so safe. The nose and I love and accept myself. And I love and accept myself.
Veronica Kelly:So I let go right now.
Lunden Souza:So I let go right now.
Veronica Kelly:I let it all fade away.
Lunden Souza:I let it all fade away.
Veronica Kelly:The chin because I am so safe.
Lunden Souza:Because I am so safe.
Veronica Kelly:And I get to make choices that feel good to me.
Lunden Souza:And I get to make choices that feel good to me. I give myself permission to honor myself. I give myself permission to honor myself. The chest. I love and accept myself exactly where I am.
Veronica Kelly:I love and accept myself exactly where I am. I surrender this residual stress and any other emotions I desire to now.
Lunden Souza:I surrender any residual stress and any other emotions I desire to now. Big breath in.
Veronica Kelly:Big breath out. Outside of the ribs. It feels really nice to create this calm state of being from the inside out.
Lunden Souza:It feels really nice to create this calm state of being from the inside out.
Veronica Kelly:No matter what the world throws at me, no matter what the world throws at me, I can come back to here and feel this calm space anytime I want.
Lunden Souza:I can come back here and feel this calm space anytime I want. Top of the head.
Veronica Kelly:I invite ease and grace and flow into my nervous system right now.

Lunden Souza:Even on my worst day. Outside of the eye. I do not have to be perfect. I just get to be me. I do not have to be perfect. I just get to be me. Being me is unique and wonderful. Being me is unique and wonderful. Under the eye, and the world needs my gifts. And the world needs my gifts.
Veronica Kelly:I'm allowing myself to get out of my own way right now.
Lunden Souza:I'm allowing myself to get out of my own way right now. And just be me. And just be me. The nose.
Veronica Kelly:I'm safe being me. I am safe being me. I am safe succeeding. I am safe succeeding. I'm safe falling flat on my face as well.
Lunden Souza:I am safe falling flat on my face as well. Because I love myself no matter what. Because I love myself no matter what. The chin.
Veronica Kelly:I accept this as my truth now.
Lunden Souza:I accept this as my truth now.

Veronica Kelly:Top of the head. I choose to accept this as my baseline. I choose to accept this as my baseline with safety in every cell of my body.
Lunden Souza:With safety in every cell of my body. And I totally accept and love myself right where I am. And I totally accept and love myself right where I am.
Veronica Kelly:And just let your hands come down and just breathe. Just feel the probable shift. That was only a few minutes. I think we tapped maybe six minutes there, seven minutes. Feel that shift. Allow your body to acclimate and align to this frequency. And then go ahead and put an ocean of love around you. And when you're ready, open your eyes and come back.
